United Methodist Women (UMW) is a community of women whose purpose is to know God, to develop a supportive fellowship and to do mission through participation in the local and global ministries of the church.

United Methodist Women welcomes any woman who wishes to become a part of this community of women and to journey in spiritual growth and in ministry to others.

Women's Spring Renewal Retreat a "Green" Success!

Dozens of Hennepin women and friends enjoyed a "day away" dedicated to spiritual renewal, fellowship, and green living.  Held on a beautiful April Saturday at Hennepin, Bishop Sally Dyck kicked off the day with a children's message and inspired everyone to consider how we can impact greater caring and stewardship of our Earth.

Afterward, the kidlets departed for their own retreat as the ladies explored a fun series of hands-on workshops:

• Nourishing Your Body: Making Healthier Choices for Yourself and the Planet
• Making Your Own All-Natural Multi-Purpose Cleaner 
• Finding Your "Sweet Spot" in Life: Making Your Heart Sing
• Spirituality and the Senses: Oils from the Bible (using essential oils to make your own personal care products)
• Making UMCOR birthing kits for women in need around the world
• QiGong & Meditation
